About Storks
Storks is a service set up by Midwife Susan Tunnacliffe (formerly of The Midwifery Centre in Hare Hatch).

The National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) sets out clear guidelines as to the schedule by which a pregnant woman, according to her own health status and that of her pregnancy, should be seen by a suitably qualified practitioner.
However many women and their partners feel that these are not sufficient to meet their needs. This is where Storks is able to assist.
Consultations can be arranged according to your own specifications and as frequently as you choose. Short notice appointments are generally available and for the amount of time that you require. There will be sufficient time for you to ask questions and we hope to be able to answer most, if not all, of them! We do sometimes get asked questions that we are not able to answer, but will always do our very best to point you in the right direction to get the issue resolved.
The Storks service is not intended to replace any of the care offered by the NHS. We urge you to attend your NHS appointments as scheduled, but most particularly the very first, then those at 28, 34/36, 40 and 41 weeks as an absolute minimum.
A variety of other services are on offer and a browse through this web site should give you an insight into how we may help you throughout your pregnancy. If what you are looking for is not specified, please feel free to give us a call and we will do our very best to help you. If we can’t help directly we may well know who can and will be only too pleased to refer you.
Storks is looking forward to hearing from you and hopes to be able to help make your pregnancy a better one.
